There are three main reasons why your data connection may be very slow:
1. You have exceeded your daily data limit.
If you are on a 500MB or 1GB plan, your data speed will be significantly reduced once you have used up your daily data allowance. The maximum speed will be 256kbps, which is too slow to use most services. You will need to wait for your data allowance to reset 24 hours later.
2. You have a poor signal.
The signal strength in your area may be very weak, or the signal environment you are in may be very poor. For example, you may not be able to get a signal in campgrounds, golf courses, hiking trails, at sea, in the mountains, or in the desert. Additionally, if your data speed is only slow when you are in a basement or a specific building, that location may have a poor signal environment.
3. There is a problem with your WiFiBOX device.
If neither of the above applies, there may be a problem with your WiFiBOX device. For example, it may be connected to an inappropriate network. Please contact customer support first. We will assist you in troubleshooting the problem.
